McVeagh Fleming partner and chair Alissa Bell, has been named in the 2024 list of NZ Lawyer Elite Women. The list honors exceptional female legal professionals for their significant contributions and impactful achievements over the past year.
Alissa joined McVeagh Fleming in 2011, making history as the firm’s first female Chair in 2024. Passionate about access to justice, law reform, and legal education, she is actively involved in the Ally Law international network, the ADLSi Family Law Committee, and the Family Court Association. A dedicated mentor to women lawyers, Alissa advocates for greater access to legal services for low-income individuals and envisions growing McVeagh Fleming’s team to 160 professionals while promoting diversity and inclusivity.
