About

Hamish loves the people and places of the North Shore.  He grew up in Cheltenham, Devonport and outside of four years living in Parnell (The Devonport of the city) has always lived this side of the bridge.

He has been with McVeagh Fleming Lawyers since 2015 after his admission earlier that year.  Prior to this he held a variety of corporate and sales management positions. His first legal role was to appear as counsel on a 10 week murder trial at the High Court in Whangarei.

Hamish works in the McVeagh Fleming Property Team and loves the interactions he has with the firm's many clients, sharing their stories, working with them to achieve their goals and helping them to protect their futures.  He works closely with Brandon Cullen on a variety of property and commercial matters.  His work includes both residential conveyancing and commercial transactions, trust matters, as well as company and private client work.

Schooled at St Leos Primary in Devonport, Rosmini College in Takapuna and achieving both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Auckland, Hamish has always enjoyed a challenge.

He is happily married to his wife Sarah and he has two sons - Jackson (born May 2016) and Conroy (born February 2018).  Riverhead is home for Hamish and his family, where he is proving himself capable with a hammer and drill.

Hamish comes from a family of lawyers – his grandfather was a Judge, his father and multiple uncles are lawyers, and he has two cousins who also hold the title.  He says it makes for some interesting debates at family get-togethers!

  • Airspace licences
  • Formation of limited partnerships
  • IP licenses related to charity events.
